Sports Massage
Performance-focused bodywork for athletes, post-injury clients, and bodies that work for a living.
Sports massage at this practice is built around training load, not relaxation. Sessions are 60–90 minutes, hands-on the entire time, and integrated with movement assessment so the work has a target.
Most clients book sports massage as part of a weekly or biweekly cadence during heavy training blocks, dropping to monthly during deloads. Some pair it with IASTM or cupping in the same session for layered work; others rotate between modalities week to week.
What separates sports massage here from a relaxation massage is the assessment, the specificity, and the follow-up. Each session ends with a clear movement prescription so the work compounds between visits — not just a temporary feeling of release.
First-time clients spend the first 10–15 minutes in assessment before any tissue work. That diagnostic window is what lets us build a session around what actually needs work, not what feels good in the moment.
The process.
Assess
Movement screen + history + goals — we don't release tissue we haven't examined.
Treat
Targeted soft-tissue work, programmed for your sport, training load, or current restriction.
Cue
Mobility prescriptions, recovery protocols, and clear next-step recommendations.
01How is sports massage different from regular massage?
Sports massage is built around training load and movement quality, not relaxation. Sessions start with a movement screen and end with a mobility prescription — the work has a specific target.
02How often should I book?
Most clients run weekly or biweekly during heavy training blocks, then drop to maintenance during deloads. Once we assess your training load and restrictions, we'll recommend a specific cadence.
03Will it help with my chronic tightness?
It supports recovery and helps improve movement quality. We assess first, work targeted tissue, and pair it with mobility programming so results compound. We don't claim to treat medical conditions — we improve how your body moves and recovers.
