Stretch Therapy
Assisted range-of-motion work — capsular mobility, PNF, and end-range strength built into the session.
Stretch therapy here is hands-on assisted mobility work — not yoga, not foam-rolling, not solo stretching. A practitioner takes you through targeted positions, applies controlled pressure, and uses techniques like PNF and contract-relax to convince the nervous system that new ranges are safe.
Most clients book stretch therapy when their tightness has a neural component — guarded, returns quickly after solo stretching, doesn't respond to soft-tissue work alone. The stretch session changes that conversation by giving the nervous system a different experience of those ranges.
We pair stretch therapy with end-range strength work so the new mobility is owned, not borrowed. A range you can't load isn't really yours. The strength piece is what makes the mobility durable.
Sessions run 60 minutes. First-time clients start with assessment so we know which joints actually need the work and which are along for the ride.
The process.
Assess
Where range is limited and why — capsular, soft-tissue, or neural guarding.
Mobilize
Hands-on assisted ROM work — PNF, contract-relax, capsule mobility — targeted to your restriction profile.
Own It
End-range strength + at-home cues so the new range is real, not a temporary trick.
01How is stretch therapy different from yoga?
Stretch therapy is 1:1 and hands-on — the practitioner moves you into positions you couldn't easily reach alone, with controlled pressure and specific techniques. Yoga is self-directed flow; stretch therapy is targeted work.
02Will it help my chronic tight hips?
If the limitation is neural or capsular, yes — those respond well to assisted ROM work paired with end-range strength. If the limitation is mostly soft-tissue, sports massage or IASTM is the better entry point. The assessment tells us which.
03How long until I see range changes?
Most clients feel a 5–15° immediate change in a single session. Durable, owned change takes 4–8 weeks of paired strength work.
